Coronavirus Canada: Students Of York University Residence Told To Go Into Self-Isolation

All students that are living in a residential building at the York University have been advised to go into self-isolation after an individual began exhibiting some symptoms that are similar to those that infected people with Coronavirus have.
The notice was posted on the website of the University on Wednesday regarding Founders Residence.
The university, however, said that individual exhibiting symptoms does not have either presumptive or confirmed case of the coronavirus, which is also known as the COVID-19.

The notice said: “York has carefully planned for this scenario and us immediately notified Toronto Public Health to ensure the person is receiving the appropriate care and that proper precautions are being taken to minimize the risk of transmission, including contacting anyone else they believe may be at risk.”
The notice added, “Students and employees sharing space with this individual have been provided additional communication on this matter.”
The notice continued, “In addition, as a precaution, TPH advised that all persons living in the residence should immediately go into self-isolation.”
The York University did not reveal any additional information about the case.
This was done to respect the privacy of the student that contracted the deadly disease.
In Canada, 3409 cases have been confirmed of the novel coronavirus.
The official death toll in the country is currently at 36.
Ontario has confirmed 100 new cases of the coronavirus on Wednesday, which brings the official numbers of the province to up to 671.
In the province, 5 official deaths were reported, which brought the provincial death toll to a total of 13.
As of writing this article, on a global scale, the coronavirus pandemic has infected 486,600 people and has caused the deaths of 22,020 people.
117,446 people have recovered from coronavirus all over the world.
332,206 people are currently in mild condition and 14,928 people are currently in serious or critical condition.
