Saskatchewan Sends Out 502 Invites To Immigration Candidates In Latest PNP Draw

Saskatchewan is now holding the largest draw since the coronavirus pandemic. According to the latest numbers, 502 immigration candidates are just a number of steps away from obtaining their PR status. This comes after Saskatchewan held an invitation round on July 29, 2020. The SINP (Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) invited candidates from the International Skilled Worker category. They did this through the: 1.       Express Entry 2.      Occupations In-Demand In order to be invited in this draw, candidates from both sub-categories needed to have submitted EOI (Expression of Interest) profiles with the SINP. The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program uses the Expression of Interest system to select candidates that have the most potential to thrive in the prairie province. Candidates are required to demonstrate their commitment to building a life in Saskatchewan by showcasing their work experience, education, language ability, age, and connections to the province.

British Columbia, a province in Canada, issued 62 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to BC PNP Tech Pilot candidates on July 21, 2020. The British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot program is a fast-track immigration pathway for in-demand tech workers and international students. The candidates in the All Tech Pilot are required to have a job offer that is at least one year (in duration in one of the pilot’s 29 in-demand occupations. IRCC: Temporary Visa Applications Should Be Submitted Online From July 1 And September 30

In a new set of special instructions that were released by Canada, it stated that temporary visa applications should be submitted online from July 1 and September 30, 2020. With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the country of Canada will only accept temporary resident visas that are submitted online. This policy will be in effect for candidates that are applying for study permits, work permits, and temporary resident visas (TRV) while outside of Canada from July 1 and September 30. However, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) will be providing special accommodations for individuals that are unable to complete their application process online due to disability. However, there is an exception. Unless an applicant has a disability, IRCC will not accept paper-based applications during the effective period of this policy and will go ahead and return the application and processing fees to the applicant.
