Canada Introduces New Quarantine Rules For Travelers

The government of Canada is doing everything they can to make sure the coronavirus in the country could be contained.
As part of their precautionary measures, the quarantine rules for incoming travellers have been changed by the government.
The federal government of Canada is now requiring incoming travellers to have a credible quarantine plan and wear a mask on the way to their destination.
The new rule says that travellers will need to confirm that they have a good place to isolate in or quarantine upon arrival even if they do not have any symptoms of the coronavirus.
They are required to follow the mandatory 14-day isolation period before arriving in Canada.
A suitable place for self-isolation is a place where you can have basic necessities such as food and medicine.
Not only that, it should be a place where seniors and people that are vulnerable to the virus is not present.

During a press release, Patty Hajdu, the minister of health of Canada, said:
As our knowledge about COVID-19 evolves, we continue to adjust our response to this epidemic. These changes will make it clearer to asymptomatic travellers arriving in Canada that they need to have an appropriate place to self-isolate, where they will not put any vulnerable people such as adults aged 65 years or over and people with pre-existing medical conditions at risk.”
If travellers to do not have an appropriate place to practice quarantine or self-isolate, they must go to a place that is designated by the health officials of Canada.
All new arrivals are no required to wear non-medical masks or face covering so they could proceed to their final destination where they will be practicing quarantine measures and self-isolation.
If they do not have masks, the government of Canada will provide them with one.
Remember, the maximum penalties for non-compliance could mean a fine of up to $750,000, six months in jail, or both.
