Coronavirus Pandemic: Travel Advice For Canadians

For Canadians that have travelled recently, the government of Canada has some advice for you so you could help stop the spread the coronavirus in the country.
The Federal Government of Canada has placed an Emergency Order in the act under the Quarantine Act.
The act applies to all travellers that are arriving in Canada.
For travellers that have symptoms of the coronavirus, you are asked to isolate yourself or go to a hospital so you can get treated right away.

Symptoms of the COVID-19
People may experience:
·       cough
·       fever
·       tiredness
·       difficulty breathing (severe cases)
Remember, people with the virus are required to isolate right away. This is mandatory. In case your case is extremely severe, you want to seek medical attention.
Mandatory isolation means you must:
1.       Stay inside your house for at least 14 days.
2.       Go to your place by only using private transportation.
3.       Do not go out of your house.
4.       Only go out if you are seeking medical attention.
5.       Do not go to school.
6.       Do not go to work.
7.       Do not go to public areas
8.       Do not use public transportation.
9.       Use a separate bathroom if you have someone living with you.
10.   Do not allow visitors to come in.
11.   Keep children away.
12.   Stay away from adults that are already living with a disease.
13.   Do not get in contact with the elderly or children.

What If?
In this section, we are going to state some “what if” situations that you must know.
What if your symptoms get worse? Do not wait for your body to recover, you want to contact your health care provider or public health authorities right away and tell them your situation. After that, you want to wait for their instructions.
If you have symptoms of the virus but you do not have a place to isolate? You want to contact your local authorities. It is certain that you will be transported to a facility that is designated by the Chief Public Health Officer of Canada.
What if you violate the instructions? In case you do not follow the instructions of the authorities, you can end up spending 6 months in jail or get a fine of up to $750,000 Canadian dollars.
