Travellers That Are Visiting Canada Must Quarantine For 14 Days


For travellers that are entering Canada amidst the coronavirus pandemic, it will be mandatory for you guys to quarantine for 14 days.
However, the requirements are different in each case.
Things such as travel history and symptoms of the disease will be thoroughly checked upon arrival in the country.
Travellers that have symptoms of the virus will not be allowed to board a plane that will be travelling to Canada.
If you are going to travel by land, you will be allowed to cross the border even if you have a fever, cough, and other symptoms of the virus.
Remember, the country of Canada has restricted travel to the country for many foreigners, but, there are a number of exceptions.
Permanent residents, Citizens, temporary foreign workers, immediate family members, and a few other individuals are allowed to come to Canada.


International students are allowed to enter the country if their study permit was approved before March 18, 2020.
Also, travellers are allowed to leave Canada, but there is a “but”.
Flights have been restricted and there is a travel health notice to avoid all non-essential travel to all foreign countries.
Everyone that is allowed to travel to the country is advised to go their houses right away from or the place where they will quarantine themselves for the next 2 weeks.
Stopping at the grocery store, going to friends or relatives house, and commuting from the port of entry to a place that is not your home is not allowed.
People that will not follow the rules can face a fine of up to $750,000 CAD or up to 6 months in prison.
In some cases, you might get fined and jail time.
Visitors, study permit holders and work permit holders can possibly be required to isolate even if they are not showing symptoms of the virus.
