British Columbia Invites 62 Immigration Candidates With Tech Skills

British Columbia, a province in Canada, issued 62 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination to BC PNP Tech Pilot candidates on July 21, 2020.

The British Columbia PNP Tech Pilot program is a fast-track immigration pathway for in-demand tech workers and international students.

The candidates in the All Tech Pilot are required to have a job offer that is at least one year (in duration in one of the pilot’s 29 in-demand occupations.

The draw, which happened on July 21, 2020, saw invitations being issued to candidates in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories of the Express Entry BC EEBC and Skilled immigration streams.

Candidates that are selected in all subcategories need a minimum score of 80 points.

Candidates that are registered in the Express Entry British Columbia categories will be awarded an additional 600 points towards their CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) if their applications gets approved.

The points then guarantee an invitation to apply (ITA) for a PR.

Once a provincial nomination is issued by BC, the other candidates that are invited under the Skills Immigration categories are going to have applications for Canadian permanent residence processed directly by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
