IRCC: Temporary Visa Applications Should Be Submitted Online From July 1 And September 30

In a new set of special instructions that were released by Canada, it stated that temporary visa applications should be submitted online from July 1 and September 30, 2020.

With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the country of Canada will only accept temporary resident visas that are submitted online.

This policy will be in effect for candidates that are applying for study permits, work permits, and temporary resident visas (TRV) while outside of Canada from July 1 and September 30.

However, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) will be providing special accommodations for individuals that are unable to complete their application process online due to disability.

However, there is an exception.

Unless an applicant has a disability, IRCC will not accept paper-based applications during the effective period of this policy and will go ahead and return the application and processing fees to the applicant.

The policy is part of the IRCC’s special coronavirus measures to manage immigration applications while it operates at reduced capacity.

As of now, work permit holders are allowed to come to Canada if they are there for non-optional reasons.

Also, study permit holders are not able to Canada if they did not attain a valid permit as of March 18.
