Canada Welcomed 19,200 Immigrants In June 2020

In the month of June this year, Canada welcomed 19,200 new permanent residents.

The data was released by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The June permanent resident intake was much stronger than the 11,000 newcomers that Canada saw in the month of May. Out of the 11,000 immigrants that Canada welcomed in the month of May, only 4,000 gained PR.

According to the data that was released by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) the top 10 immigrant source countries in the month of June in the year 2020 (PR numbers in brackets) were:

1.       India (6,760)

2.       China (2,010)     

3.       Philippines (900)

4.       USA (740)

5.       Pakistan (595)

6.       Brazil (560)

7.       United Kingdom (535)

8.       Nigeria (530)

9.       Iran (390)

10.   South Korea (355)
