British Columbia Issues 407 invitations In New PNP Draw
The province of British Columbia has sent out 407 invitations through a provincial nominee draw.
The latest draw was held on September 15, 2020.
The new invitations that were sent went to candidates that were taking part in the Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams.
They were in the Skilled Worker, International Graduate and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled categories.
The minimum scores for this draw ranged between 75 and 95 points, said the new data.
The EEBC category is for candidates with a valid profile in the federal government’s Express Entry system, which is the main pathway of Canada to bring in skilled immigrants and also help them get Canadian permanent residents.
The Skills Immigration category is for skilled and semi-skilled workers whose occupations are in high demand in the British Columbia province.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program categories are managed under the British Columbia’s Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS),
Anyone who wants to apply through the SIRS are required to registered an account. Once they complete that step, candidates are then assigned a score, which is based on their language proficiency, education, and work experience.
Candidates with the highest scores are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination when British Columbia holds another draw.
