British Columbia Sends Out 67 Invitations To Immigration Candidates In Tech Pilot Draw

On September 8, 2020, British Columbia sent out 67 Express Entry and Skills Immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence through their Tech Pilot draw.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program Tech Pilot is a fast-track immigration pathway.

This one is for in-demand tech workers and international students that are in the tech market.

All Tech Pilot candidates invited by the BC PNP is required to have a job offer that is at least 1 year in duration. It should also be listed in one of the 29 in-demand occupations of the pilot.

The Draw that was seen on September 8, 2020, saw invitations being sent out to candidates that are in the Skilled Worker and International Graduate categories of the Express Entry BC (EEBC) and Skills Immigration streams.

Selected candidates in all the subcategories needed a minimum provincial score of 80.

Candidates registered under the Express Entry British Columbia categories will be awarded an additional 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System if their provincial nomination the application gets approved.

After that, they will be getting an ITA (Invitation To Apply) for Canadian permanent residence at a later federal Express Entry draw.

In order to apply for the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC (British Columbia) categories, candidates should create a profile through the online portal of the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program and register under their SIRS (Skills Immigration Registration System).
