British Columbia Invites 100 Total Immigration Candidates In October 20 PNP Draw

  British Columbia sent out 100 total immigration invitations to candidates so they can apply for a Provincial Nomination for Permanent Residence. The draw that we are talking about was carried out on October 20, 2020. The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program issued a total of 80 invitations through the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) and Skills Immigration Streams. Candidates that got the invitations were selected from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories. The minimum required score for candidates in this draw was just 80. Note, this was across all categories, confirmed CIC News. In addition to the invitations, it was also reported that 20 people were invited under the Entrepreneur Immigration Program of British Columbia.   International Students will be allowed to travel to Canada starting on October 20, 2020, only if their institution is coronavirus-ready and has been approved by the territorial or provincial health authority, said a latest statement by the government of Canada. Designated Learning Institutions are expected to send the specifics of their readiness plan to the provincial or territorial government. The plans should be including on how the institutes will be informing their students on health and travel needs before their arrival, help with plans for the quarantine, and how they will be offering guidance or assistance in getting groceries and medicine during quarantine.   Canada has announced that they will be easing travel restrictions so students, people entering the country on special reasons, and family members can come to the country. The news was announced by the Ministers of Canada that are responsible for the public safety, health, and immigration. Marco Mendicino, the immigration minister of Canada, stated that extended family members of Canadian citizens and permanent residents are now allowed to enter the country of Canada on October 8, 2020. Effective on October 20, 2020, students that got enrolled at a Canadian designated learning intuition will be allowed to enter the Canada.   On September 30, 2020, Canada held a new Express Entry draw, where 4,200 invitations were sent to immigration candidates. The Federal Skilled Worker Program candidates were amongst the successful candidates for the third consecutive draw.
