According to a report by CIC News , Canada landed over 47,000 new permanent residents, who hired a Canada Immigration Services , in November 2021.   The government of Canada has announced that they are adding a number of countries to their current ban list due to concerns over the Omicron variant. Canada added 3 countries to their already list of 7 on November 30, 2021. As of now, the 10 affected countries are: Botswana Egypt Eswatini Lesotho Malawi Mozambique Namibia Nigeria South Africa Zimbabwe Not only people from those countries, but foreign nationals who have traveled to these countries for the last 14 days are also not allowed to enter Canada.
