British Columbia has issued 91 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination that happened earlier this week amidst the coronavirus pandemic. April 21, 2020, the draw was conducted under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program’s Tech Pilot. Immigration candidates that have ongoing job offers in the technology sector of British Columbia got invited to apply for a provincial nomination through the weekly draws. Candidates that got selected in the draw that took place on Tuesday were from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories under the Skills Immigration and Express Entry British Columbia. Candidates that got invited from the draw needed a minimum provincial score of 85 points. The United States of America has placed a temporary ban on immigration as their latest precautionary step in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. On Wednesday, Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America, signed an Executive Order that took effect on April 23, 2020. The order will suspend the processing of permanent resident applications that are made by those people that are outside the country for 2 months or 60 days. An order does have some exemptions. The ban that president Trump signed will not apply to health care professionals or researchers that are seeking to enter the United States of America for immigrants that want to help the country in combating the virus. Since signing the order, Trump has been criticized. Many people say that the law has nothing to do with stopping the fast-spreading coronavirus, but instead, it is more related to his own political agenda, which will be showcased in the upcoming presidential elections. Canada Introduces New Quarantine Rules For Travelers

The government of Canada is doing everything they can to make sure the coronavirus in the country could be contained. As part of their precautionary measures, the quarantine rules for incoming travellers have been changed by the government. The federal government of Canada is now requiring incoming travellers to have a credible quarantine plan and wear a mask on the way to their destination. The new rule says that travellers will need to confirm that they have a good place to isolate in or quarantine upon arrival even if they do not have any symptoms of the coronavirus. They are required to follow the mandatory 14-day isolation period before arriving in Canada. A suitable place for self-isolation is a place where you can have basic necessities such as food and medicine. International medical graduates who have already passed their exam to practice medicine in Canada or who graduated from a medical school within the last 2 years are allowed to apply for a temporary license. For Canadians that have travelled recently, the government of Canada has some advice for you so you could help stop the spread the coronavirus in the country. The Federal Government of Canada has placed an Emergency Order in the act under the Quarantine Act. The act applies to all travellers that are arriving in Canada. For travellers that have symptoms of the coronavirus, you are asked to isolate yourself or go to a hospital so you can get treated right away. Symptoms of the COVID-19 People may experience: ·         cough ·         fever ·         tiredness ·         difficulty breathing (severe cases) Remember, people with the virus are required to isolate right away. This is mandatory. In case your case is extremely severe, you want to seek medical attention. Mandatory isolation means you must: 1.        Stay inside your house for at least 14 days. 2.        Go to your place by only using private transportation. 3.        Do not go out of your house.
